Course Description
The DriveWise BC GLP Essentials Packages (Zoom Classroom + In-Car) provide a comprehensive and flexible foundation for new drivers, combining online classroom sessions with tailored in-car practice. This ICBC-approved program includes 20 hours of online classroom theory via Zoom, making it convenient and adaptable to your schedule. After completing the classroom component, students advance to practical, behind-the-wheel lessons with certified instructors. You can choose the amount of in-car practice based on your experience and confidence, making this program suitable for beginners and those looking to reinforce their driving skills.
In addition to learning vital driving skills, this program offers high school graduation credits and the potential to reduce your “N” phase by 6 months, subject to ICBC requirements.

- Duration: Minimum of 32 hours, combining classroom and in-car lessons.

- Classroom: 20 hours of interactive online instruction via Zoom.
- In-Car Lessons: Select from the following packages:
- Essentials Package 1: 9 x 90-minute lessons (13.5 hours of driving)
- Essentials Package 2: 11 x 90-minute lessons (16.5 hours of driving)
- Essentials Package 3: 14 x 90-minute lessons (21 hours of driving)
- Essentials Package 4: 17 x 90-minute lessons (25.5 hours of driving)
- Optional Add-On:
- Road Test Package: Includes a 2-hour session with a 45-minute warm-up before your ICBC road test, using a DriveWise vehicle.
- Vehicle Use: Provided during the session for all practice tasks
