Course Description
The DriveWise BC GLP Essentials Packages are designed for new drivers seeking the most comprehensive instruction, combining both classroom theory and in-car lessons. These packages, approved by ICBC, are proven to lower crash rates and provide a solid foundation for safe driving. You can choose the number of behind-the-wheel lessons based on the amount of practice you will have with a co-driver. In addition to the in-car training, these packages also offer high school graduation credits and the opportunity to reduce the “N” phase by 6 months if ICBC requirements are met.

- Duration: Minimum 32 hours of combined classroom and in-car lessons.
- Lesson Format: 18.5 hours of classroom theory followed by in-car driving lessons with a certified instructor.

- Essentials Package 2: 11 x 90-minute driving lessons (16.5 hours of driving)

- Optional Add-On:
- Road Test Package: A 2-hour session with a 45-minute warm-up before your ICBC road test, using a DriveWise vehicle.
